01
The challenge
What needed to change.
Within the first 90 days at the organization, I noticed HR repeatedly entered the same employee information into multiple onboarding forms. The duplication created unnecessary preparation work, increased transcription risk, and made consistency harder to maintain.
02
My role
What I did.
- Mapped repeated employee-data fields across the onboarding documentation package.
- Created a central employee-information worksheet as the source record.
- Connected recurring fields so information could populate automatically across forms.
- Standardized formatting and required information.
- Reduced the need to re-key the same employee information in multiple places.
- Structured the workbook to support future document-generation automation.
03
The solution
Built for practical use.
The solution followed a simple rule: enter employee information once and reuse it wherever possible. A central source worksheet became the foundation for connected documents, reducing repetitive work and creating a cleaner path toward additional automation.
